A very rare design from one of the most elusive makers of the 19th century. Pantin made very few paperweights but it is celebrated from making some of the most important 19th century flamework paperweights ever made. This example features a naturalistic red rose ladder with dew and set over an opaque white ground. This is the paperweight for those who have everything...a crown jewel to complete even the most advanced of collections.
