David Colton began glass blowing in Fort Collins, CO in 1995.

His body of work is mainly comprised of flame worked abstract 3D borosilicate sculptures and functional pipes.

In 2019, David was awarded the Rakow Commission from Corning Museum of Glass, making him the first glass cannabis pipe maker to receive this recognition and to enter an art museum’s permanent collection.

The abstract graffiti style solid sculpture featured here is executed in a pale amethyst, red and blue highlights running throughout the sculpture with hints of dichroic glass used sparingly. This versatile piece can be turned and revolved to the ones liking allowing for it to be displayed in countless positions.
