Richard worked for Saint-Louis for many years. Since winning the prestigious Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2015, Richard has continued to push his technique, creating some of the most interesting and artistically technical work France has seen in decades.

In this piece Richard has teamed up with celebrated Belgian artist Renaud De Putter to create something altogether unique and beautiful. As a skilled painter, Renaud has used enamels to hand-paint a portrait of the famed French novelist Colette set colorless transparent glass medallion and executed in shades of blue with black highlights. Richard then encased the decorated disk and adorned it with a garland of blue grapes. Finished with 6+1 faceting.
