These early 20th Century Chinese sulphide paperweight and related items are uncommon and highly collectible. The most common figure found in this group of paperweights miniature weights containing painted birds in a tree but other animals are also known and are far less common. Other known Chinese sulphide paperweights include a duck, monkey, seated monk, a frog, pheasant in flight, and probably the least common is the rabbit. Most of these weights are roughly cut blocks and other multifaceted forms, rarely are they found in the form of a chopstick holder.
