Vintage Murano or American Art Glass Paperweight Sulphide Pig

Condition:  Very Good, with a few very faint marks to the upper surface and shelf wear to the flat polished base. Please see photos and let us know if you need any additional assistance. 

An unusual piece featuring a well centered white pig sulphide with black eyes, at rest on a speckled ground of white, blue, and aventurine. A typical early to midcentury Aemerican motif however the shape of the dome, glass quality, treatment of the base, and the presence of aventurine point to Murano as the origin.
